The Kirk Weissinger Waterman Foundation helps local youth and families overcome financial barriers to sports, education, and personal development opportunities. Through the support of our community, we proudly continue Kirk's legacy of kindness, generosity, and service in and out of the ocean.
About Kirk
Kirk lived a life defined by generosity, adventure, and a commitment to helping others. Whether in the water, in his community, or among friends and family, he believed in lifting people up and creating opportunities for those around him. Kirk was a legendary waterman in every sense of the word. His life was centered on and around his love of the ocean whether he was fishing, surfing, diving, giving surf lessons, working as a deckhand, or coaching Junior Guards. Loved and missed deeply by his family and friends, a desire to carry his legacy forward has inspired the KWWF’s mission. The Foundation was established to honor his legacy by continuing the work he cared about most—helping others reach their full potential in and out of the water. May his kind heart and generous spirit live on.
